GETTING HERE

Most international visitors will arrive to Cancun via air. From the Cancun airport, there are many options (bus, taxi, shared van, private transport) to get to Puerto Juarez, where you will catch the passenger ferry to Isla.

The quickest and most trouble-free method is to book a private transfer. There are numerous companies that provide this service – our recommendation is to use CARM – Cancun and Riviera Maya Tours & Transfers. You can book and pay for their service in advance via their website. We have used CARM’s services for years, and have always been 110% happy! Their vans are new and immaculately clean, service is prompt, the drivers are friendly and most of them speak English. You can also order and pay for your ferry tickets when booking your transfer. It’s a stress-free way to get to Isla – CARM will take great care of you!

Once at the ferry dock, take a deep breath – your vacation is about to begin! With ferry tickets already in hand, relax and order a cold drink at the little bar in the terminal – they make a great margarita, and you can take it to go on the ferry if you wish! The ferry runs about every 30 minutes, and your crossing will take about 20 minutes. Sit on the upper deck and enjoy the beautiful water and listen to a local musician on your ride to Isla Mujeres! TIP – Do NOT discard your ferry ticket – it is good for your return trip.

Once on the island, you can take a taxi to Casa Agave. The taxi stand is one block down to the left when you exit the terminal. The welcome letter (e-mail) that you receive from our property managers will give you all the details.
